Stretching is very important for mobility and increasing energy levels everyday!. “It relaxes your muscles and increases blood flow and nutrients to your cartilage and muscles”( Health Fitness Revolution).

 
There is a buildup of stress and tension in people’s muscles from everyday obstacles. Stretching helps to get rid of this stress by loosening tight muscles and increasing blood flow. “Stretching soon after waking up can help jump-start the mind and body” (Health Fitness Revolution).

 

“Sit up straight.” Has anyone said this to you? Well, stretching helps keep correct posture. It pulls your muscles away from their original positions, which keeps them loose. Stretching the lower back, shoulders and chest ensures the proper spine alignment. “ It also encourages the release of endorphins, providing a sense of tranquility and euphoria” ( Health Fitness Revolution).

 

If you’re just sitting at your desk all day, your energy levels inevitably decrease. Stretching boosts one’s energy levels and helps keep their focus. By stretching in the middle of the day you’re “helping your mind and body be more alert”  ( Health Fitness Revolution).

 

So, if you need an extra boost of energy or you just have too much stress, do some simple stretches, and you will feel better.
