It’s difficult to imagine two different world leaders hanging out together, especially when Mark  Zuckerberg, founder of FaceBook, was raised in a Jewish home, identifies as an atheist, and professes a profound respect for Buddhism, while the pope is a very important symbol of Christianity.

Mark Zuckerberg met the Pope on Monday, August 29th, to talk to him and give him a model of the facebook drone, “Aquila”, a solar powered drone that is meant to fly to rural areas to provide them with wi-fi. He meant for it to be used as a ‘good-deed item’ to help victims after the devastating Italian Earthquake. “It was a meeting we’ll never forget,” Zuckerberg said to CNN ,

“You could feel the pope’s kindness and warmth, and how deeply he cares about helping people.” He was originally in Italy to attend the wedding of Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, but decided to see the pope.

Mark Zuckerberg originally wanted more areas in Africa, the middle East, and Europe, to be able to connect to facebook. When it blew up, or became a “fast-fire” according to newyorker.com the sixty two million dollar Israeli satellite caused both the CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg and the CEO of SpaceX Elon Musk to be pretty upset, but they hope a second chance will come soon. They can definitely improve their chances of success during their next chance by test flights of the satellite.
